2008 Cross Country Invitational

Date:  Saturday, September 27, 2008

Location:

Oakhurst Forest Preserve, 1680 Fifth Avenue, Aurora, IL 60504-8607
The forest preserve is located three blocks east of Farnsworth Ave. on Fifth Ave. in
Aurora.  The start/finish line will be near the main pavilion.  Buses should enter the
preserve from Fifth Ave. and proceed to the East parking lot.

Time:

8 am, Check-in, warm-up and course tours.
9 am, Frosh/Soph girls, 3.0 miles. (Limit 15 runners per school)
9:35 am, Frosh/Soph boys, 3.0 miles. (Limit 15 runners)
10:10 am, Varsity girls, 3.0 miles (Limit 12 runners)
10:45 am, Varsity boys, 3.0 miles (Limit 12 runners)
11:15 am, “JV” Boys/Girls. 3.0 Miles. Staggered Start. (Limit 16 runners)

Entries:

Schools are limited for entries per race and a maximum school entry of 70 participants
for the event.  We ask that each school enter their top 15 F/S and top 12 Varsity runners
into each event.  Their remaining runners are to participate in the JV event.  (If a school
has more than 16 runners for JV, we will work to accommodate as many runners as
possible). Awards will be presented for all races.

Concessions:

Will be available at the event.

Scoring:

Scoring will be conducted by Kompusport ©.  Results will be available at www.kompusport.com the same evening of the
event.

Aurora Central Catholic, Aurora Christian, Burlington Central, East Aurora, IMSA,
Immaculate Conception, Lisle, Marmion Academy, Montini, Oswego, Plano, Rkfd
Christian, St. Edward, St. Francis, Timothy Christian, Waubonsee Valley, West Aurora,
Westmont, Wheaton Academy, and Yorkville.

Awards:

Frosh/Soph Boys and Girls      1 – 3 Place per gender plus 1-30 Individual awards.
Varsity Boys and Girls      1st – 3rd Place per gender plus 1-30 Individual awards.
JV Boys and Girls     1-15 Individual awards.
